The key instruction with URAD is: USE VERY LITTLE! You are not trying to hide your leather, you want to moisturize it! So use URAD just like a skin cream, not like make-up! It's not a case of «The more I use, the better the result is...» A good thumb rule is that you should not see the product on your leather. You should only see nice clean and shiny leather! Also, make sure not to fill stitches.
So how much??? Well, dip ½ inch of one corner of the sponge (provided) and wipe it off the side of the jar. Use only the small amount of product left in the sponge. Spread it well by rubbing it in, make sure you do not see streaks of wet product on the leather; keep spreading wider until they are gone.

Generally speaking, NO. Not alone and not on light colors anyway. However, in most other situations, mixing URAD (usually colored Urad) and TENDERLY together can produce miracles and bring back to life a dead jacket!

This salt can come from tanning process, from perspiration or from the salt they put on the streets... Put a wet cloth over the salt stain area for a few hours. Apply Urad while still wet and let Urad work. When dry, Urad will have worked the salt up and out of your leather to the surface. Gently rub it off with a soft dry cloth. If needed, use Aquila to remove any salt remaining. Apply Urad again.

Gently rub it off with a soft cloth, humid with warm water. If it does not come off completely with just warm water, use Aquila or add a few drops of white vinegar to the water.

Either salt has risen back to the surface (this salt could be from residuals in the tanning process, from sweat, or from the exterior)
or, you have used URAD too much or too often. (See question «How much is very little?»)
Or finally, you've used Urad on a too porous leather.

No, but if you use too much or too often, just like for any wax, there will be accumulation. Also, because carnauba wax is the most resistant wax, you shouldn't need to use it more than once every two weeks on shoes and once or twice a year on leather furniture. And even then, in very small quantity!

Yes. Not only is it biodegradable, it's also non toxic.

Yes, Urad can be used both on alligator and ostrich skins. However, in both cases, there are things to be cautious about. First, these skins have uneven areas where Urad wax can build up. Second, these skins sometimes have both a non-porous thin surface layer and a thicker very porous undersurface layer. The way to avoid possible problems related to these two points is to mix Urad with Tenderly (about half and half) and spread it very thin and very quickly. Because if you spend too long going over one spot, it may wet the porous undersurface of leather too much which can result in your leather becoming darker (noticeable on lighter colored leathers). In short, use Urad and Tenderly mixed together and spread it thin and quickly. The above is what has worked best, with thousands and thousands of boots of testing! However, we have had one case of pink ostrich cowboy boots where using Urad without Tenderly was what worked best! Exceptions do exist so the above advice does not remove the general rule to always perform a test in a less visible area first.

URAD is not a dye and although it will usually not stain, the color pigments of URAD are, to some degree, water soluble so they may stain in certain situations. It is usually best to mix URAD with TENDERLY, and even use SAHARA protector on top, to seal the pigments in.

This is not a simple question because a lot of factors are involved; type of ink, type of leather, type of leather dye, delay of intervention, intervention with other products...
In short, there is no guaranties of success when it comes to ink but here are some tips:
URAD: URAD does remove ink stains on "Corrected and Pigmented Grain" and "Full Grained Pigmented", most of the time. The trick is to use as little as possible. Just dip 1/8 of an inch of one corner of the sponge into the jar, and wipe it off the side of the jar. Now rub vigorously quickly on the ink spot.... The sponge is just a bit more abrasive that way than if you would use too much, yet there's just enough product to help dissolve the ink...
"Full Grain Aniline" has no protection at all, the ink just goes right in. For that kind of leather, I believe you will need to rub hard, almost scrub it off with one drop of URAD on one tip of the sponge. It's the scrubbing that will do most of the work so YES, there is always a risk the color will not come back completely.

AQUILA: Our leather shampoo called AQUILA can clean fresh ink stains but usually does not do better than URAD. It was made to clean body grease, not ink.

If you do not have the above products at hand, you can try a "Q-tip" with some "Isopropyl Alcohol". (Local pharmacy) Apply with the Q-tip only to the ink spot, at first, do not let sit to long. Wipe with a wet (but not too wet) cloth. If it comes off, repeat. If it does not come off, let the alcohol stand a bit longer. If that does not do it. Use nail polish remover in the same fashion.
P.S. The nail polish remover...can be a delicate operation since it can also take out the leather's dye. Use with caution.
P.S. Prevention tips: spray Sahara stainproofing when new. Then have a jar of URAD handy, just in case someone has the urge to draw a smiley face on your new $5000 sofa!
I think that prevention is worth the money!

If Urad, rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover did not remove the stain, we know if nothing that will.
Costa-Brava(dye):When cleaning does not work, you could try to hide it using URAD with color, which is not a dye but could cover the stain a bit. If you apply Urad with color, use 1 to 2 Tbls of Urad (let's say BLACK) mixed in 5oz of TENDERLY, then apply.

Yes. URAD works great on unvarnished wood.  Even better than neutral, use colored Urad to highlight grain! (brown, green etc...) First, we suggest you shake the jar well to turn URAD to a more liquid form, then apply with the use of a paint brush or the applicator sponge provide.

For small leather objects like gloves or purses, put the object in the freezer until the gum freezes. For larger objects, put a few ice cubes in a small plastic bag and put the bag on the gum until it hardens. Once the gum is frozen it comes off easily without scratching leather! You may also use, with extreme caution, Lighter fluid. Simply scrub off gum stains with a towel and a little lighter fluid.

The larger the jar, the longer is its shelf life. Also, the neutral has a longer shelf life than the Urad with color.
The average shelf life of Urad neutral 7oz/200ml jar is 6 years.
To maximize its shelf life you can:
a) always put back on both lids
b) shake the jar to mix the product every 6 months
c) store in a tempered place; not too dry, not too humid, not too cold and not too hot

URAD is mainly composed of Carnauba,(natural wax to protect and shine) Lanoline (sheep skin oil to moisturize and also to protect) and mineral salts. (to clean).

URAD leather cream contains no petroleum derivatives. The only URAD product that does contains petroleum derivative is GRASSO.
Grasso is made of a high concentration of Lanolin held together in a petroleum based gel.
